The Truth... What is it?





2 Peter 3:9

The apostle Peter writing (God speaking via scripture...The Word) to the believers,  assuring them that the Lord does not want anyone to "perish".


Wycliffe Bible of 1384: The Lord tarieth not his biheest, as summe gessen, but he doith pacientli for you, and wole not that ony men perische, but that alle turne ayen to penaunce.


King James Bible of 1611: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.


NAS Bible of 1960: The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.


NIV Bible 1973-78: The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
