Mark 16:16

The apostle Mark writing (God speaking via scripture...The Word), Jesus speaking just after His resurrection in a discourse to 11 of the apostles about whoever believes and is baptized*** will be saved.

Wycliffe Bible of 1384: Who that bileueth, and is baptisid, schal be saaf; but he that bileueth not, schal be dampned.

King James Bible of 1611: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

NAS Bible of 1960: He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

NIV Bible 1973-78: Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

***I believe that this "baptized" refers not to baptism performed by men but by the incoming of the Holy Spirit (see infant baptism) (since no man can know whether one truly believes or not).
