The Truth... What is it?

Another Special Life in Christ

These testimony lives are not stories of "role models". Jesus is the role model!
These are lives wonderfully touched & changed by Jesus!

"Will work for food":

My fellow church member and friend, Margaret Pratt (devoted mother of Tony Pratt) told us of her Christian brother-in-law (A. B. Skelton) who owned a repair business in Greenville, S. C.. One day in about 1960, a man came in and asked for a job...there was none. "Please, mister, I need money to feed my wife and children!" So, Mr. Skelton was moved to reply, "As long as I can find work for the business, you've got a job."

Mr. S. often invited the man to church, but he declined. After two years, the worker left. Then, 10 years later, that worker came back by the shop for a visit and told Mr. S., "I want to thank you for the day you gave me that job. I've become a Christian. That day 10 years ago I was at the end of my rope and had made up my mind to rob a bank if you had said no."

Mr. S's life was a low-key witness to hundreds. Margaret Pratt's husband, Jack, told me that he had known A. B. for 50 years and only heard him raise his voice once. "He was the same man the other six days of the week that he was on Sunday." At least 6 men under his influence went on to be pastors. When he died in 1996, his widow received over 50 unsolicited letters (a stack 8 inches high) from people claiming to have been greatly impacted toward Christianity through his life.

In accord with Mr. Skelton's wonderful example, won't you make a decision to at least let God work through you right where you are?
